System Data Flow Overview

While there are several services doing various tasks, the nominal flow for traps is as follows:

  1. Received and formatted by the leader collector/forwarder and written to a RMQ exchange

  2. Consumed by one of many classifier, which adds data from the inventory provider and writes the updated information to another RMQ exchange

  3. Consumed by the leader correlator, which updates the status of the currently active system alarms, and sends any relevant notification messages to be handled downstream

  4. Alarm notifications are consumed by various “notifiers”, for example the tts notifier, which creates tickets in OTRS
